Terms

Last updated 3 September 2026

Saturday has not launched. Today this site does one thing: it lets you reserve a $handle and leave an email address so we can tell you when the doors open. These terms cover that, and nothing else. When there is a product to open an account with, separate terms will govern it and you will be asked to agree to them then.

1. What a reservation is

Reserving a handle is not an account. It does not hold money, it is not a bank account or a payment instrument, no balance exists, and nothing about it is insured. You are not a customer of anything yet.

A reservation is our intention to give you first refusal on that handle when Saturday opens. It is not a contract to supply a service, and it is not a guarantee that you will be eligible for one.

2. Your handle

  • Handles are first come, first served, and there is exactly one of each.
  • A handle is not property. It cannot be sold, rented, or transferred, and any attempt to do so ends the reservation.
  • Some names are held back and never given out first come, first served — brands, banks, payment networks, regulators, and anything that reads as staff or as a verified account.
  • We may reclaim a handle that impersonates a person or organisation, infringes a trademark, is used unlawfully, or was obtained by automated or bulk means. Where we reasonably can, we will contact you first.

3. Who can reserve one

You must be at least 18 and must not be subject to sanctions that would prohibit us from dealing with you. Reserving a handle does not mean you will pass the identity and eligibility checks that a financial account requires at launch.

4. Fair use

One handle per person. Do not script or automate reservations, do not reserve handles in bulk or in order to resell them, and do not attempt to disrupt or overload the site. We rate limit requests and may refuse or undo reservations that look automated.

5. Referrals

Sharing your link may move you up a tier. Tiers, positions and any benefits described on the site are promotional, have no cash value, and can change or be withdrawn before launch.

6. What we do not promise

Everything described on this site is a statement of what we intend to build. Features, partners, timing and availability can all change, and Saturday may be delayed, materially altered, or never launched at all. The site is provided as it is, without warranties, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from a reservation not being honoured.

7. Ending a reservation

You can ask us to delete your reservation and your email at any time — see the privacy page. We may end a reservation if these terms are broken, or if we discontinue the waitlist.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the product takes shape. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects reservations already made, we will say so by email.
