This page says exactly what Saturday keeps, what goes straight to our card issuer instead, and how to have it deleted.

Your account

• How you sign in: your email, your Google account’s id if you use Google, and your passkeys’ public keys. Never a password.
• Every wallet you add: its public address, proven yours by signing a message (not a transaction; it cannot move funds), the name you give it, its $handle if you claim one, and the names and colours you give your cards. We never ask for, or see, a recovery phrase or private key.
• Each wallet’s approval for card spending, if you turn it on, and the transaction that approved it. Both are public on the blockchain already.
• Sends to and from your handles: the other side’s handle, the amount, and the transaction hash, to show your history.
• One sign-in cookie, sat_session: a random token, HttpOnly, lasting 30 days. We keep only a hash of it.

Your card application

Your name, date of birth, national ID number (SSN in the US), phone number, home address, email, occupation, income range, expected monthly spend and what you’ll use the card for, with your IP address and the wallet you apply with, are sent directly to Rain, the issuer of the Saturday card, to verify you. Your photo ID and selfie are taken on Rain’s own secure pages and never pass through Saturday. Saturday keeps only your name (it is printed on your cards), your email, Rain’s reference and its decision. Your ID number, date of birth, phone, address, photos and selfie are not stored by Saturday. Full card numbers are decrypted only in your browser.

Your $handle

Which wallet a handle points to is kept private. When a verified Saturday member sends to your handle, they see your first name and last initial so they can check they have the right person, and their wallet shows the receiving address when it asks them to confirm, as every blockchain payment does.

Waitlist and visits

• Your email, if you join the waitlist for Saturday’s payments terminal, with when and where you joined. Not sold, not rented, not passed to advertisers.
• Visit counts. When a page loads we count it, with the page, the site that linked here and whether it is a phone or a computer. Your IP address and browser are turned into a code that changes every day and cannot be turned back; the IP address itself is not stored. No advertising pixel and no third-party tracker.
• Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider, with personal details masked in our own logs.

Where it is kept

The site runs on Vercel, and accounts are stored in a hosted Redis database. Both providers process the data on our behalf and under contract. Card applications are processed by Rain and its verification partner. Data may be processed in the United States.

How long we keep it

Until you close your account. Closing it cancels your cards, releases your handles and deletes what Saturday holds about you; Rain keeps its own verification records for as long as the law requires of a card issuer. Visit counts hold no personal details and are kept for about a year.

Your choices

Download everything Saturday keeps about you from the dashboard (You → Download my data), or ask us and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. There is no charge. Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your personal data, and we will honour them.

Children

Saturday is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly keep accounts for them.

Changes

The date at the top shows when this page last changed. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email.
