Saturday has not launched, so there is no account, no balance and no transaction history to hold. The waitlist collects the least it can get away with: a handle, an email address, and who referred you. This page says exactly what that means.

What we collect

• The handle you reserve. It is public by nature — the point of a payment handle is that other people can see it.
• Your email address. Used to tell you when Saturday opens and to confirm the handle is yours. Not sold, not rented, not passed to advertisers.
• The handle that referred you, if you arrived on someone’s link, so their referrals count.
• Your IP address, briefly. Held only in memory and only long enough to rate limit the reservation endpoint against scripts. It is not written to the waitlist record.
• Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider.

There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on this site.

The one cookie

When you reserve a handle we set a single cookie, sat_token. It holds a random identifier and nothing else, it is HttpOnly so scripts on the page cannot read it, and it lasts twelve months. Its only job is to recognise your reservation when you come back. It is not used to track you anywhere else.

Where it is kept

The site runs on Vercel, and reservations are stored in a hosted Redis database. Both providers process the data on our behalf and under contract. Data may be processed in the United States.

How long we keep it

Until Saturday launches and your reservation is either taken up or released, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If the waitlist is discontinued, the records are deleted.

Your choices

Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — including releasing your handle. There is no charge and you do not have to give a reason. Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your personal data, and we will honour them.

Children

This site is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly keep reservations from them. If you believe we have one, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

When the product launches, a fuller policy will cover accounts, payments and identity checks. Until then this page covers everything we do. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
